PLANES CRASH
(Received sth August, 9.30 a.m.) ROTTERDAM, 4th August. _ A military ’plane crashed and its pilot and a sergeant were killed. AMSTERDAM, 4th August. A Dutch air liner crashed into a signal pole and was destroyed, seriously injuring a boy playing on a field, and five women passengers.
BOMBER CATCHES FIRE

PRAGUE, 4th August.
Flying at a height of 6000 feet a heavy bombing ’plane caught fire. The pilot parachuted safely but tlie observer was over-excited and opened his parachute too early and was killed. The machine fell on the roof of a distillery, which, with an adjoining shop, caught fire. PARACHUTE RECORD CLAIMED (Received sth August, 9.30 a.m.) RIGA, 4th'-August Lieut.
