PRISONERS’ REQUEST ■ . .» •/ ■ —— (By Telegraph—Press Association) WELLINGTON, This Day. “I would like to ask that I be given hard labour and not a period of reformative detention,” said Leonard Walter Lasli, labourer (34). when asked if he had anything to say before he was sentenced on charges of breaking and entering and theft by the Chief Justice in the Supreme Court. Finally a sentence of two year’s imprisonment with hard labour was imposed on each charge, tlie sentences to be concurrent. “Thank you,” said the prisoner, as he left the box.
