At the fortnightly meeting of the Young People’s Christian Temperance Union Air K. llohhs (president) was iu the chair, assisted bv .Miss K. Aloves. The opening devotional exercise was read by Miss Ireland The, programme for the evening was
“Childhood Social,” the following items being included: —An animal compel it ion arranged by Miss Fay Cook; Noughts and Crosses; Schools (Miss AleCormaek in clinrgo); “Nuts and Alay” ; “Oranges and heinous”; dumb cone corl : Surprise packet, provided by Miss Harris: and miniature golf A splendid supper was then handed round 1 1 v Mrs Aloves and the social committee. The item for next session is impromptu and prepared speeches.’
