CONCERT AT RICHMOND

A very enjoyable concert was provided for those who attended the public hall, Richmond, on Wednesday evening when the Brightwater Brass Band, j - sisted by a number of musical and elocutionary friends, rendered a splendid programme of Band and other items. The following took part: Mrs R. Eyles, Messrs Francois, Shuttleworth, Don and T. C. Scott. iTho last-named pleased the audience with his lightning chalk work, for which he is so well known. Under the conductorship of Mr 11. Bonrhe-Webb the band gave of its best in a varied selection. At the close of (lie evening the chairman of the Richmond School Committee, Mr A. Hunter, expressed the appreciation of the committee and the audience for the spiendid evening’s entertainment, the proceeds of which went to help the funds of the school. The visitors were afterwards entertained at supper by die Committee.
