The French airmail, Captain Costes, will this week. pilot home one of the well-known Calcutta typo flying boats constructed by Messrs Short, of Rochester, which the French Government has purchased. An agreement lias been reached between,,Short’s and the Breguet Company for pthc manufacture under license in France of further Calcutta boats which the French Government intend to employ in their naval services. French air transport companies operating in the Mediterranean are also ordering Calcutta craft.
