(By Telegraph—Press Association) AUCKLAND, 18th June. Two students of the State Teachers College at Sail Jose, California, arrived in New Zealand last night, though they never intended to come. They are Thomas Vance and William North. They went to Los Angeles and saw the Swedish motorship Bullarcn, which they were informed was going to San Francisco, twenty hours away. They stowed away in the engine room, and were discovered eight hours’ later. Then they found that the ship was bound for Auckland, They say that fortunately the captain and the whole crew saw the humour of the situation.

They will he sent back by another vessel.

The men were arrested this morning and charged with stowing away. They .were referred to as prohibited immigrants, and it was said there were enough men out of work here already. Botli rvcrc remanded in custody.
