HUMPHREY BISHOP COMPANY

SUCCESSFUL SECOND NIGHT Last evening at fin? School of Music, Saturday’s iliright performance .by the Humphrey Bishop Company was successfully ‘repeated. The songs, gay and serious* the ever-ready humour and the instrumental numbers were a source of much laughter and interest. Fred Webber’s burlesquing on the piano was well carried out and most amusing. Maurice Barling was again a continual fun-maker, and Arthur Hemsley’s inanity of expression and dialogue, and notably his nursery rhymes, caused much laughter. , Miss Margaret Blackburn played, with skilful ease delightful to listen to and watch, a minuet on the violin. There was a deal of chorus work and in the last number, “The Love Parade,” Maurice Barling was a leading light. Walter Kingsley’s fine songs were very popular. The programme will be repeated tonight, but to-morrow night thevo will be a complete change of programme, and the season' will conclude on Thursday.
