OBITUARY
SIR EDWARD HENRY (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) LONDON, 20th February. The death has occurred of Sir Edward Henry, formerly a member of the Indian Civil Service, Inspector-General of Police at Bengal, 1891, on special duty in South Africa, 1900-1, Assistant Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police 1901-3, Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, 1903-18. He introduced the finger-print system at Scotland Yard.
