A POSSIBLE DANGER
(To the Editor) Sir, —I wish to draw your attention to a very alarming state of affairs regarding Liu; water supply. During tlie hours 7 to 0 p.m. it is impossible to draw water from the taps in some residences owing to the great quantity used in the watering of gardens—a very serious position in ease of fire. Would it be possible in view of the many calls made on the Brigade during the last, fortnight to arrange that all hosing should cease immediately on an alarm being given. The signal would need to have more far-reaching powers than the syren of the fire engine. 1 am, etc., ANXIOUS. Nelson, 21st Fefe.
