(To the Editor) Sir. —In bin criticism of the Prime A 1 blister's statement and referring to the proposed adjustment in wages and salaries Mr H. Holland, M.P., carefully works out the saving to the industry insofar as the freezing, butter factory and farm labour costs are concerned, it would be interesting if be would also work out the saving effected in the “distribution costs,” which costs bear so heavily on the farmer in his endeavour to compete with other countries ill the markefing of his produce.—l am, etc., D.
