METHODIST CHURCH
CONFERENCE OPENED (By Telegraph—Press Association) DUNEDIN. This Day. The annual conference of the Methodist Church of New Zealand was opened last night. In the absenco of the Rev. W. Greenslade through illness, the Rev. E. D. Patchott (Wellington) was elected president. A resolution was passed expressing sympathy with the earthquake sufferers, and especially with the Roman Catholic Church in the death of priests and students at Greenmcadows. The election of office bearers resulted as follows: —President, 1932, Rev. M. A. Rugby Pratt (Christchurch); vicepresident, 1931, Mr W. S. Mackay (Auckland); secretary, 1932, Rev. J. M. Haslam (Auckland).
