MR A. M. BURNS ELECTED PRESIDENT (By Telegraph—Press Association) ROTORUA, 19th February. Mr A. M. Burns, General Manager of (lie Christchurch Press Company was to-day elected chairman of the Board of Directors of the United Press Association of New Zealand for the ensuing year. Mr rns was for seventeen years on I lie staff of the Press Association in Wellington and Cable Bay, Nelson, having joined as a cadet. He left the Association service (o take up the.position of sub-editor of the Christchurch “Press”, from which ho rose to the managerial chair.
