DROP IN TRADE

(Received 2nd June, 9.5 a.m.) CANBERRA, This Day. The Prime' Minister is of opinion that Australia Should be represented by a trade commissioner in New Zealand, just as the New Zealand Government is to be represented here by Mr Schmitt. Mr Scullin states that the Australian trade with the Dominion has fallen £2,000,000 in five years. He has arranged for Mr Fenton to call at jSTew Zealand on the way home to investigate the position.
