Ellesmere Handicap, of 200 sovs; 4.40 class; two miles.—6 Whakatane, scr, 1; 4 Logan’s Pride, 48yds bhd, 2; 14 Shady Spot, 24yds bhd, 3. All started. Won by a neck. Time, 4.32 4-5. Stewards’ Handicap, of 300 sovs >2.48 class; one mile and a quarter.—l Travis Axworthy, 24vds bhd, 1; 5 Tony Victor, scr, 2; 4 Eugene D’Oro, 12yds bhd. 3. Scratched: Trimmer. Silk Thread.
