CAR IN RIVER
DRIVER MISSING. (By Telegraph—Press Auooiatlon) OAMARU, This Day. Yesterday afternoon a man named Richard Mahon left Waimate in a motor car for the Waitaki hydro-electric works, lie failed to arrive at his destination, and it was reported last night that the top of a car was,visible in Waitaki river at the foot of a precipitous bank. It is presumed that Mahon's car left the road and crashed into the river_ bed. The Kurow police are investigating.
