(Received 10th April, 12.25 p.m.) GENEVA, 9th April. Coniplicrttions fire expected to follow the Irish Free State’s decision to seek a non-permanent. seat on the Council. The independent, British Empire is now represented by "Canada, and it is expected that South Africa will succeed to the Empire’s seat, as Australia and New Zealand are not aspirants. Ireland’s claim'is regarded as a gesture to demonstrate virtual independence, but it is unlikely to succeed.
