The first round of the South Eastern Open (h>lf Championship of 30 holes at Augusta, Georgia, resulted: Ist, Jones with 144; 2nd. Farrell tied with Kerrigan, 1-17; 3rd, Horton-Smith, 14S. Jones experienced considerable difficulty in holding the lead.
