AG It Hi'

(United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph—Copyright)

SYDNEY. 301 ii March

The latest conference between the coal mini owners and the minors, on which high hopes of early resumption were built. foilW delegates Ulialili to agree after two hcurs' consideration. It is behoved, however, that some progress was made, for though Mr Seullin made it plain that financial assistance from the Federal Government was cut. of the question some form of Liw.it protection against coal imports may lie possible, and the Common wealth would co-operate in plans for the stabilisation of the industry and in the finding of employment for surplus miners. It- is believed also that the pits may re-open without a further conference.
