TERRIFIC CRASH
MOTOR CYCLES COLLIDE FOUR PERSONS INJURED TWO IN CRITICAL CONDITION (By Telegraph—Press Association) AUCKLAND, 28 th March. A head-on collision between two motor cycles carrying pillion riders took place on the Great South Road, between Penrose and Otahuhu to-night, and resulted in serious injuries to the four persons. They were:— Allan Wilkin, compound fracture of the hip, fractured skull. Herbert Crowther, a fractured leg, head injuries, probably a fractured Leonard Aukett, slight concussion. Annie Campbell, concussion and injuries to the face. The accident was not seen by anyone, but the tremendous crash attracted a passerby who found the woman groaning and the riders and machines in a heap at the side of the road. All except the girl were unconscious. All four were admitted to Auckland Publie Hospital. The condition of Wilkin and Crowther was reported at a late hour to be very serious. ■
