MURDER CHARGE
JURY DISAGREES

SYDNEY, 22nd March
After being locked up till night, the Jury disagreed in the case in which Frank Green is charged with the murder of Bernard Dalton. Green was remanded in custody pending the official determination as' to whether further proceedings shall be taken. Bernard Dalton, aged 45, an electrician, was sTiot dead at Surry Hills on 10th November during gang warfare. His companion, Walter TomlinBon, aged 29, a wharf labourer, was shot in the chest, and another man received a bullet wound in, the right hand. The police were unable (o obtain any evidence, the men wounded declaring that the fight arose over Hie second Rugby League Test in England. Later. Frank Green was arrested and charged with the crime.
