ESTIMATES , PRESENTED
LONDON, 22nd March. The civil estimates for dominions services include £42,817 for Nauru and Ocean Islands, and £550,000 for the Empire Marketing Board. The total expenditure for the board is £BOO,OOO but a balance of £250,000 is in hand. Oversea settlement receives £833,250, of which £150,000 is for land settlement and development in Australia and £31,000 for assisted passages to Australia compared with £220,000 last year. There is £30,000 for assisted passages to New Zealand compared with £40,000 last year; and £4OOO for settlement of migrants in Australia compared with £IO,OOO last year.
