MOTOR COLLISION
SEVERAL PEOPLE SLIGHTOLY INJURED (By Telegraph—Press Association) WAIPUKURAU, This Day. .Mrs W. 11. Gilchrist, of Waipukurau, sustained a fractured leg and abrasions as the result of a motor lorry which her husband was driving being involved in a collision with a motor car driven by Donald Hepburn, of Grcenmoadows, near Waipawa on Saturday night. The patient was admitted to Waipukurau Hospital. Other occupants of the lorry were thrown clear escaping serious injury. Both vehicles were considerably damaged. In endeavouring (o avoid the wrecked vehicle on the road, Harry Rathbone, a resident of Waipawa, in a following car, applied the brakes, causing the car to skid into a ditch, where it capsized, landing on its hood. The driver and three passengers escaped with bruises and abrasions.
