SAMOAN POLICE FORCE
DISBANDED TO-DAY (By Telegraph—Press Association) T7ELLINGTON This Day. After spending five weeks in training the special police force for Samoa will be disbanded to-day and 228 men will be paid off at a cost of £2736. Twentyfive officers and non-commissioned officers will remain in camp, and eleven privates will be retained to relieve members of the Samoan police force who return to-day. The force was an exceptionally fine body of men and they are disappointed at the turn affairs have taken.
