LIGHTNING STRIKE
INDIAN JUTE WORKERS

DELHI, 10th March. Thirty thousand jute workers are idle near Calcutta as the result of a lightning strike, threatening the stoppage of the whole industry. The police dispersed a. mob of 3000 workers who attacked one mill with bricks following a rumour that a European mill assistant had assaulted some labourer.
