OBITUARY
HON. PETER LARKIN

The death is reported of the Hon. Peter Larkin, Canadian High Commissioner in London, aged 74 years. The late Hon. P. C. Larkin established the Salada Tea Company in Toronto in 1887. and the company handles a quarter of all tea sold in Canada. He was a member of the Royal Commission. appointed in 1911 to study imperial resources. He was a generous donor to the Toronto Hospital. He was a close friend of the late Sir W. Laurier. Mr Larkin has been Canadian High Commissioner since 1922.

(Received 4th February, 10.15 a.m.) OTTAWA, 3rd February. It seems assured that Mr Masscy will be recalled from Washington to succeed Mr Larkin as High Commissioner in London.
MR VICTOR CROMER
(Received 4th Februarv. 10.25 a.m.) SYDNEY. This Day.
The death is announced at the age of 47 years, of Mr Victor E. Cromer, former associate of world-famous figures like Ramsay MacDonald, Lenin, and Trotsky, and himself a remarkable personality claiming to exercise the gift of touch healing. He was a native of South Australia and began life on a newspaper. He was Australian representative at the Socialist Conference at Stuttgart in 1907 and there met many political leaders.
