INVERCARGILL WOOL SALES
BIG DROP IN PRICES
(By Telegraph—Press Association)
INVERCARGILL. Tins Day
The first wool sale of the Invercargill series was held last night. There was a large percentage of passings and bidding generally was not spirited. Buyers undoubtedly were acting on very restricted limits. Up till the last hour the values realised were about equal to half of those paid) at the concluding sales last year, and fully half the local clip was disposed of at these prices. Prices, however, showed a slight improvement over those ruling at the Wanganui sale.
