TRAGIC FATALITY
IN A LANARKSHIRE MINE [United PreßS Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) LONDON, 4th December. There was a poignant tragedy at Viewpoint colliery, in Lanarkshire, when two men were buried by a fall of hundred of tons from the roof. Rescuers, encouraged by hearing faint voices, reached the spot and saved one man who was injured. Tin; other was in the arms of a rescuer and was being given a drink of water when he saw another fall coming. He said, "Goodbye, boys," and was struck on the head and killed. The body was again buried.
