MOTOR CYCLE ACCIDENT
MAN SEVERELY INJURED (Prom Our Own Correspondent) TAKAKA, 10th April. A motor cycle accident occurred at the junction of the Long Plain road and the Highway road, leading to Takaka, at about C. 30 on Saturday evening last. A motor cyclist coming into town crashed into another motor cyclist who was attempting to turn the corner of the road leading to Long Plain. Mr Hilton Galey suffered severe injuries to the head and was conveyed to the Takaka Cottage Hospital and it is reported that he is in a critical condition.
