AUSTRALIAN SEAMEN
REGISTRATION OF NEW UNION
REFUSED

MELBOURNE, 18th March. The Registrar of the_ Arbitration Court to-day refused the application of the Seamen's Union of Australia, of which Mr Jacob Johnson is secretary, for registration, on the ground that it only represented a small section of the seamen employed on the Australian coasts.
