Mr D. G. Wylcs, radio engineer for the National Electrical Company, has resigned his position to- accept ait appointment ar, radio engineer and sahs promotion manager at Melbourne for Philips Lamps (Australasia) Ltd Mr Wyles will leave for Sydney on Friday next.
Mr W. Williamson, of Christchurch, who has erected several large buildings in Nelson, is at present here on a business visit.

The death occurred at Palmerston North of I\fiss Ruby Dale, formerly a teacher at Sergeant's Hill and Cape Foulwin.d.
Mr A. L. Toimoir, Assistant Entomologist at the Cawthron Institute, has tendered his resignation, having accepted an appointment in the Common. wealth Entomological Research Department. Mr Tonnoir had been intimately connected with the Noxious Weeds Research work, and his resignation . will take effect from 31st August next. Mr Frederick Wilkinson, Grand Secretary of the 1.0.0. F., died on his return from the biennial session at Nelson (states a Dunedin Preps Association message).- He was seized with illness and succumbed after an operation.
