MARLBOROUGH AERO CLUB . (By Telegraph.—PreM Association) ' BLENHEIM, This Day: The Marlborough Aero Club appointed Mr J. H. Preston, of Miramar, .Wellington, as . ground engineer, from nine applicants. Mr Preston, who. will -be granted ..the Government’s full ground engineer’s license for light ' 'planes, had six and a half-years’ experience as engineer in the Britisli .J, R.A'F., during which time he was engaged on engines of the famous airships R 33 and R3O, also on multi-engined flying boats and general aircraft! ■A. Captain N. E. Chandler, the Club’s pilot-instructor, has formally commenced his duties’ and the club anticipates that it will commence flying operations next week. ;Vj Trainees being enrolled from as far north as Martinborough.
