NEW ROAD
TAHUNA TO BRITANNIA HEIGHTS Hie formation of the new road from Moana road, Tahuna, through Bisley’s estate, to Britannia Heights, will be completed this week. The road is being built by the trustees of the estate in accordance with the law’s requirements when laud is cut ip for sale. Traffic can use the road at present, but the surface is rather rough near the top, and sho.uld be negotiated carefully. When the formation work is done the road will be quite good for dry weather. Metalling xwill be proceeded with as soon as possible, and it should not he long before the road is in good order. It will no doubt become a favourite drive for the view from the top is magnificent. Tahuna", the bay, the harbour and the city can all be seen. The grade is fairly good.
