During his tour with the New Zealand bowlers Mr W. A. Dee ran across several Nelson people. In Chicago he met Mr J. .Street, son of Mr S. Street, now an Inspector of Police; and Mr J. Reynolds, who as a lad worked at

“The Mail” office and is now partowner of a big printing establishment. At Suva Mr “Horry” Martin, who will be remembered bv footballers as a member of the -old Prince Albert Football Club, is in business as an architect; and at the same place Mr Dee met Bishop Kempthorne, a son of Archdeacon Kemptliorne.

Miss Joan Jones and Mr Raymond Knapp, both of Nelson, gained prizes at the recent Canterbury College examinations for advanced botany and advanced education respectively.
