PLUNKET BALL
Term holidays are always eagerly lookod forward toMiy the children, and this term the red letter day for children and grown-ups will bo Wednesday, 22nd August, when the children’s fancy dress party, and the annual Plunket ball will bo held. The children have the niternoon from 3 to 6 p.m., when fun and frolic for all will -be prqvidcd, as wed as a bountiful home-made tea to be served at daintily decorated tables in the Volina supper room. Prizes have been donated by friends of the Society for tho best fancy dresses. The children will lie judged in two classes —under 7 and over 7 years—and in botli sections prizes will be given for most original costumes, best historical character or group, best representation of nursery rhyme, and best literary character. At tho Plunket ball in the evening fancy dress will not bo worn, but tlie latest novelties will be introduced, and the music and supper arrangements will leave nothing to bo desired.
