Australian Press Association LONDON. 9th August, , An article in' the "Board of Trade Journal" shows that Empire goods imported into the United Kingdom for the first six weeks of the year were over 2 per cent, above those of 1927, and that exports of British products to the Empire are lower by '1.5 per cent. The relative decline of our exports to ports of the Empire is more than accounted for by the reduction in Australia's percentage of ■ British expdrts from 9.52 per cent, in 1927,. to' 7.50 in 1928.
