VANCOUVER, Bth August., China and Japan are learning to cat bread. More Canadian grain was shipped to the Qri e «t i as t year than in any previous three years, according to official figures announced" by- Mr Sproule, director of ; the Western Canada wheat pool at Calgary. ' "The'demand in the past ten months was greater than could be met. The pool has becmne the greatest organisation of its kind ia the world," said Mr Sproule, who added: "The prosperity which abounds in Western Canada is the' creation of ,60 per -cent, of -the farmers who are banded together cooperatively. The other 40. per cent, carry no burden, yet .they share the benefits, which is not fair. We have compulsory education, why not compulsory co-operation V ... ."
