EMPIRE ATHLETICS
PROPOSED IMPERIAL SPORTS \ BOARD i '■:'.■' ''-,.. ' < United Press Association—By Eleotrio I Telegraph—Copyright. Australian Press Association . ' ; LONDON, 9th August. "Sporting Life" fears that it is impossible yet to form in the Mother country and each of. the Dominions an Imperial Sports Board, through which all arrangements for overseas visits' could be' made and Empire sport promoted and encouraged; But it expresses the; opinion that a start.might be made through .the Amateur Athletic Associations for a United. Kingdom and peripatetic Empire gathering to b.o held every four years, preferably two years' after each Olympiad. .Thus the latest talent would be unearthed and developed for future Olympiads. The Empire gatherings should be held successively in. England, , Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, Canada and India.' • •
