RONGA-CROIXELLES ROAD
PETITION TO MINISTER FOR EARLY COMPLETION
A petition containing 179 signatures of residents of the Rai Valley was forwarded yeste.rday by Mr O. F. Woodward; the secretary of- the',:Rai. Valley Farmers' Union; for presentation to the Minister of! Public Works by' Mr, H. Atmore, M.P. The petition prays for the urgent completion of the RongaCroixelles road, '.'., and points out the benefits that will .accrue to the Rai Valley district if this road is completed. Amongst other advantages it will enable .the Rai Valley settlers to, ; ship, perishable produce to the-Wellington.'market that at the present ■■time they cannot produce profitably owing to, the roundabout and difficult methods of reaching shipping points. \. ■ ■ •
