HOUSE RAIDED AT BLUFF

GOODS SEIZED (By Telegraph.—Press Association) INVERCARGILL, This Day. Goods valued at £IOO, alleged to be uncustomed, and to have come from the Federal Line steamer Northumberland, were discovered by the Bluff police as the result of a raid on the house occupied by Charles Jackson. The goods seized comprised 21 full bottles of whisky, 32 half-bottles, a roll of tweed cloth valued at £4O, and four or five rolls of cotton material. Jackson later appeared before a Justice of the Peace, when he was remanded, on the application of the police, till 14th August, bail being allowed. ,
