The northern contingent of 1200 legionaries visiting the battlefields missed the remembrance ceremonies as the result of a terrifying fog experienced in the Channel. The steamer Alsta was compelled to anchor suddenly and the pilgrims were thrown sprawling from the deck chairs in which they were huddled all night, and women were- hurled from their bunks during a collision with a' timber boat. ■ t '
