MJcQlashen; F. Hamilton, J. Pocklington, G. F. Smith, E. Reed, 0. Thomson,E. B. Slohr, H, Johnston, and G. W. Boundy. Accounts amounting to £l3 12s were presented and passed for payment. The chairman stated that at the
Union meeting held in Takaka on Sat- • urday it was decided to play a junior representative match. Golden Bay v. Motueka at Takaka on the 11th August. Mr E. Reed was appointed manager o? the Motueka team.
Mr Hamilton asked that permission be granted Tikaokao seniors to travel to Murchisoh next Saturday for their annual match with the local club.—Permission was granted. Arising out of a discussion on club fixtures it was decided to declare the senior competition closed for the season. Mr Boundy (deputy delegate for Tasman) pointed out that it was unfair to put Tasman on the bank without the chanco of another game. Owing to the number of matches yetto be played—Huiai Cup, Benefit Shield, and representative—it was deemed necessary to take this course. It was explained that there was nothing to prevent Tasman from arranging a friendly match with one of the other clubs, if'they so desired. Mi- Johnston intimated that JNelson was sending over two primary school teams on Saturday to play.the local combined schools. He thanked the Union for the trips that had been given the Motueka boys this year. Mr Reed asked the meeting if it was not possible to give a third class representative team a trip, before the season ended. This matter was left to the secretary..
