PIANO PLAYING NOT DEAD
At the recently held Convention of the British Music, Industries, it was pointed out by the President that despite the. competition oT dancing, the cinema, and the mechanical musical instruments, the output ,of British pianos last year was the largest in any year since the war, arid very nearly equalled that of the best year on record,—l9l3. This is satisfactory evidence of a continued enthusiasm' for music-making for themselves and by themselves, on the part of a large section of music-lovers. " •
