A senior and junior Association lootball toiu'iiaiuonfc was played at Victory Square yesterday afternoon, when several exciting contests took place. Athletic A won. the Senior Cup in an unmistakeable fashion and Hovers the Junior Cup. A. Federal Hockey Club six gave , a sparkling display in the seniors, fully extending the Hospital A. and they were only beaten by an odd goal.

SENIORS The results of the preliminary games were:— Athletic A. 2, Rangers A. 0. Hospital A. 2, Federal 1. Thistle A. 3, Thistle B. 0. Athletic 15. a. bye. Semi-Finals. Hospital A. 1, Athletic "R. 0. Athletic A. 1, Thistle A. 0.

FINAL Athletic A. 4, Hospital A. 0. The teams lined up as follows: —Athletic—Beveridge, Lane, Gould,. Baxter, Richards (capt.), Muncaster. Hospital: Thomas (capt.), Winnie, Hasler, Dbre, 11. Dickinson, Kissock. Hospital won the toss and Richards kicked off for Athletic. Play was even for a start. A free kick against Hospital for hands was taken by Gould who shot over the bar. Thomas saved well from .Nluhcn.stcr, Athletic, were jpresshjg hard for a score Baxter shooting'over when well plated. : Richards with an open. goal, shot over : the .bar. A nice centre from Richards was placed well in the not by Muncaster for Athletic's first goal. At half-time the score was Athletic 1, Hospital nil. Upon resuming Hospital pressed but, were repulsed by Lane. Athletic were now having most of the play. Muncaster scored Athletic's second goal from close range giving Thomas no chance. A cross shot from Richards was well trapped by Baxter who made no mistake in registering Athletic's third goal. Shortly after Richards scored the fourth goal. Time was then called leaving Athletic decisive winners with the score— Athletic 4, Hospital 0. Mr A. E. Coxhill controlled the game.

JUNIOR FINAL The Rovers team won the junior tournament beating Rangers junior six by 2 goals to nil in the final. Rovers team was—F. Du Feu (capt.), Bothwoll, Mansell, Louis, J. Du Feu, Sannazzarro.

PRESENTATION OF CUPS After the games the President of the Association, Mr W. J. S. Smith, presented the Cups, complimenting the Athletic upon their splendid performance. In presenting the Junior Cup he remarked that it gave him great pleasure to see such enthusiasm amongst the junior players, pointing out that the future of the game lay with them. He felt sure that after seeing their display, the senior teams would find some splendid material to draw upon in a few years time.:
