THEFT AND ARSON
DWELLING SRT ON FIRE

CAMBRIDGE, 14th Apiil
A case of theft and a deliberate attempt to burn a farmer's dwelling occurred veslerday afternoon at Taotaorun ei-dii miles from Cambridge. During the absence of Mr John Bruce and Miss Bruce, the occupants, the house was entered, and two £5 notes Were stolen and the house was run-sucked, «vt-di-ntlv lor mouev, as some jewellery and other viihnibhs were not touched. Miss I'.ruc. on her return discovered the ht-use afire. She managed to keep the flames in check until the return ol her brother who extinguished Hie fire, but not before the walls were badly burned. The police are investigating the matter.
