Fearful lest the exhibition of the Rrit isli film "Dawn" should reawaken anti German feeling, German diplomatic and consular officials are making renewed cl forts tu prevent it being shown. The State Department has taken no official cognisance of growing protests and v ill not do so unless formally approach ed. 'I he German Emhassy is considering this step, though it is reluctant to arouse public discussion similar fo that which ocem red in England. Meantime the German Consulate at New York lue succeeded in exacting a promise from many important then ties that lin-v will not exhibit the film.
