NEW ZEALAND MASTER GROCERS' FEDERATION
CONFERENCE IN NELSON OPENS TO-MORROW To-morrow morning at 10.30 in the Rechabite Hall the annual conference of the N.Z. Master Grocers' Federation will be opened by the Hon. A. D. McLeod in his capacity of Minister of Industries and Commerce. Previous to the official opening addresses of welcome will be given bv the. Mayor (Mr W. J. Moffatt), Mr H.Atmore, M.P.. the Hon. W. W. Snodgrass, M.L.C., and .Mr E. Thomson, chairman of the Nelson Provincial Chamber of Commerce.
Mr A. Gondley, of Dunedin, is president of the Federation; and Mr J. Heaton Barker is secretary and treasurer.
On Tuesday evening delegates and their wives will be the guests of the Nelson 'Master Grocers' Association at a conversazione at the Velma Hall. On Wednesday delegates will be taken for a drive, down the Motueka Valley as the guests of Messrs S. Kirkpatrick and Co. En route the visitors will be the guests of Messrs J. H. Cock and Co. and Messrs Levin and Co. at an aj fresco luncheon; afternoon tea will he provided by the Motueka grocers; and in the evening Messrs S. Kirkpatrick and Co. will give a dinner. The Conference will sit again on Thursday morning. In the afternoon an inspection will be made of the K factory : after which a drive will he taken to the Reservoir, where afternoon tea will be. provided by Cock and Co and Levin and Co. In the evening there will be a business session.
Friday morning, afternoon, and evening will be devoted to business. Delegates will be the guests of the Nugget Polish Company of New Zealand at luncheon.
