The acting-Postmas-ter (Mr Hansen) conducted the Minister through the building and explained that the only crowded places were the mail room and the counter. On ordinary occasions they could all right, but congestion occurred when ’ abnormal business had to be done. Mr Nosworthy remarked that there was plenty of room on the Department’s land for additional buildings. He said he would look into the question when he returned to Wellington,'and would inspect the plans that had already been prepared in connection with proposed additions. Mr Nosworthy asked to be introduced to the staff on duty, and this was accordingly done. The Hon. W. W. Snodgrass, M.L.C., joined the party at the Post Office, and a short unofficial visit was paid to the Cawthron Institute museum, where Mrs Nosworthy was particularly interested in the exhibit of rare china. Before returning to the hotel Mrs Nosworthy had a look at the new Cathedral construction work. The party left for Wellington by the Arahttra last night. „
