BLAST FURNACE EXPLODES
WORKMEN'S ESCAPE CUT OFF (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (A.P.A. and "Sun") (Received 17th Jan., 12.5 p.m.) BERLIN. 16th Jan. A blast furnace at the Voelkingen works exploded. Molten metal caught workmen, cutting off their escape. Two bodies were recovered, sixteen were seriously injured, and several are missing.
