NELSON DENTAL CLINIC Regarding the dental clinic, the chairman is to call a, meeting of representatives of the fown schools committees in order to come to some definite decision as to future operations. It was reported that the position in regard to the clinic was tmsatisfactory concerning the financial support received from the 'committees, with the exception of Hampden street. . The chairman said that unless definite arrangements were come to the clinic would have to be closed. On the motion of the Hon. W. H. McTntyre, it was resolved that unless financial arrangements are made before the next meeting, the clinic will be closed. TEACHERSHIPS ft was stated that Mr G. E. Griffiths had refused the appointment of head teacher at Mptueka, and the position is to lie re-advertised. In the meantime Mr Irwin will relieve. . The Burnett's Face assistant teachership is also to be re-advertised. &

The Lower Moutere Committee wrote protesting against the appointment of a* female head teacher.

Mr A. D Humphrey was recommended for the-appointment at Puponga School.

Several appointments made by the executive committee were apfjroved. Out of 15 applicants, Mr aV. Street, head teacher at Riwaka, was appointed organising teacher. Air Robt. B. Wells, 8.A., at present at Christ church College, was appointed secondary assistant teacher at Denniston. There were 12 applicants.

Forty applications were received for the sole teachership at Woodstock, and Mr Kenneth Barling, of the Training College, was appointed. The following resignations were accepted:—M. Bcnvon. a,t. Foxhill; A. M. 1). fi'reig. s.t., Woodstock; R. L. Mead, s.t. Owen Valley; E. 0. E. Richardson, s.t. Koreke; R. V. Robertson, s.t. Whangamoa.. Forty applications were received for 21 probatione.rships. It was stated that as ..the Matriculation results had not been received appointments would have to be held over meantime. The executive committee was given power to act. The Board then rose.
