BLASTING FATALITY
VERDICT OF ACCIDENTAL DEATH

DUNEDIN, This Day. At the inquest on Andrew Kyad and William Hopwood, victims of the blasting fatality at Burke's railway construction works, the Coroner said that the men had gone back to the face before the third explosion had gone off. Jt was bard to understand why Hopwood came to commit such a serious oversight. A verdict that death was due to injuries accidentally received was returned.
